Changes to my study programme

 

Hi everyone! Today I want to talk about the programme of sociology of University of Chile.

Sociology is a discipline who studies the human behavior in a society. Sociology seeks to understand the functioning of society. 

The University of Chile focusing in give to the students an ample knowledge about theorical and metodological training to understand social phenomena and train the students to design and implement social programs. 

In that sense, I really like the focus of this university about the career, but I think the University has a reponsability not met.  Sociological work doesn´t have much interaction with people and doesn´t have a real impact on people´s lives, and I feel the university doesn´t fight that field and only privileges academical work. 

I know this is a country issue, it is a reality that sociological is not highly regarded in Chile, but I think univesity and sociologist has to fight that field. 

About the infraestructure, I think the equipment should be improved, especially in computers, because we have to learn use technological programms and we don´t have the necessary equipment to learn in the best way. 

Besides, having a casino and access to eating places is very important, and here in this faculty we don´t have that places. 

In conclusion, I think it´s necessary to focus on people´need, generate knowledge to improve their quality of life. It´s necessary that we study with the commitment to change what happens in the world.
